It’s been a curiosity that I’ve wanted to like as much as I’ve liked the main games, but always missing something. With hopefully a full sized Lustria, Nagarrond and Southlands too.See, Mortal Empires has largely been a mess since its release.

Not to mention CA wouldn't need to worry about campaign balance of various factions across 2 maps, since Warhammer 3's own campaign map would (hopefully will) look exactly the same as it's Mortal Empires copy. Not to mention Warhammer 3 hopefully brings further optimizations. come to think of it all of the Warhammer 2 areas in ME are overcrowded like hell now) getting a bit of fresh air.

What will it be, an extra 8-10 seconds at most with the current engine? If AI turn times end up overall 20-30 seconds longer I'll gladly accept that for the extra gameplay space and the overcrowded areas (hi Lustria and Southlands. Now, considering how extremely fast the AI turn goes by these days (and can be drastically further reduced btw by using certain camera settings, such as disabling camera tracking of all heroes, or neutral factions, speed up allied faction animations to very fast, enemies to simply fast), I think I could take an additional 5 seconds that the extra 'added' factions that were cut, would add.ĪI turn are about to increase with adding Warhammer 3 to Mortal Empires anyway. I think even CA posted some math about this, like it was a 66% cut or something, or maybe that was a user post, I'm not sure. Personally I used to do pushups or read Warhammer Chronicles omnibuses in between my turns, but that's quite impossible since the Potion of Speed named patch, that brought us an amazing optimization and reduced AI turn waiting time drastically. Everyone, including CA was unhappy with the map cuts and the official reasoning was that the game's loading times for AI turn was so long already that it would've really hurt the gameplay experience if they wouldn't have cut down the map's 'less important' parts. Start positions would remain the same as in current Mortal Empires though (so Khalida doesn't move to Lustria for example). And by change I mean Warhammer 3 Mortal Empires should use the complete and preserved as is map of Warhammer 2 and 3, just like Mortal Empires 1 uses the complete and preserved unchanged map of Warhammer 1.
